LEADED NICKEL COPPER Brush 1915®

Brush 1915® is Brush Wellman's heat-treatable leaded copper alloy. Engineered specifically for cold heading operations and automatic screw machine applications, Brush 1915® provides high strength, excellent cold headability, good machinabilty, close diameter control and an excellent surface finish.

The chemical composition of Brush Brush 1915® is 0.80 to 1.2 % Nickel, 0.5 to 1.0% Lead, 0.15 to 0.35% Phosphorus, and balance Copper. Brush 1915® is available in wire and rod form only, and in age hardenable or mill heat treated tempers.

The physical properties of Brush Brush 1915® are:

Density = 0.320 lb./in3 (8.88 g/cm3)
Coefficient of Thermal Expansion = 9.8 x 10-6/°F (17.7 x 10-6/°C)
Thermal Conductivity = 120 BTU/(ft*hr°F) (210 W/m°C)
Electrical Conductivity = 45% IACS
