Brush Wellman's Alloy 360 (UNS N03360) nickel beryllium
strip combines unique mechanical and physical properties required
in today's high reliability electrical/electronic systems, heavy
duty controls, electromechanical devices and in other high performance
applications.
The chemical
composition of Alloy 360 strip is 1.85 to 2.05 % Beryllium,
0.4 to 0.6% Titanium, balance Nickel. Alloy 360 is available
only in strip form and in an age hardenable temper.
The physical
properties of Alloy 360 are:
- Density
= 0.294 lb./in3
(8.13 g/cm3)
- Coefficient
of Thermal Expansion = 8.0 x 10-6/°F
(14.4 x 10-6/°C)
- Thermal
Conductivity = 28 BTU/(ft-hr°F)
(48.0 W/m°K)
- Elastic
Modulus = 28.5 x 106 psi
(20 x 103 kg/mm2)
- Electrical
Conductivity = 4-6% IACS
